  • Day one: Arrival

    Arrival to Cairo airport, YourTourGuide will assist you through passport control formalities, luggage identification & portage.

    From the airport you will be transferred by a private A/C vehicle to your hotel for checking in.

    Evening, depart for the Sound & Light Show.

    Its a unique show combining the lights projected on the three Pyramids & the Sphinx, & the sound effects is suggestive of the ancient Pharaoh like atmosphere together with the narration of the history of the Pyramids & the Sphinx at Giza.

    Overnight at the hotel in Cairo.

  • Day Two: Cairo-Alexandria-Cairo

    Kom esh-Shugafa: 

    One of the slopes of a hill not far from the ruins of the Sarapeion lies the entrance to the catacombs of Kom esh-Shugafa, which is the largest and the most important burialsite of the Roman times in Egypt. it is decorated in the mixed Egyptian-Roman style and was discovered in 1900.

    Pompey's Column: 

    The desolate state of this hill of ruins with the huge column of Pompey gives little indication that the famous Sarapeion once stood here. Under the Ptolemies it was the main temple of Alexandria, but it was destroyed so utterly by the Emperor Theodosius in 391 A.D . the column bears a Corinthian capital, it was worked in red granite and rises to a height of just under 87 feet (27 M) .

    Fort Qait Bey: 

    On the northern tip of the former island of Pharos, on the spot where the famous lighthouse once stood, stands the mighty fortress of Sultan Qait Bey After two powerful earthquakes in 1303 and 1326 had finally brought down the lighthouse that dated from antiquity, the remains were used to build this fortress (around 1480) . In so strategic a position it could control entry East Harbor, protecting it from any attack.

    Lunch will be served at a sea food restaurant, then you will finish your tour by a visit to the famous.

    Alexandria Library: 

    A copy of every book published in the world is kept in the library, making it one of the great literary sites in the world. The library also houses several exhibitions relating to the history of Egypt and a display of rare antique books.

    Finally, return back to Cairo for overnight.

  • Day Three: Cairo Tour

    Giza Pyramid Complex: 

    Tour the Giza Plateau, site of the ancient pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. six little pyramids, the great sphinx the ancient world’s largest monumental sculpture, carved from a single ridge of limestone and the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramid of Chephren The complex dates back to the 4th dynasty 2400 years B.C.

    Lunch: will be served in one of the best local restaurants in town.

    Then we will move to visit:

    The Egyptian Museum: 

    The national Egyptian museum the home to the largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art, including treasures from Tutankhamun and artifacts dating back to 4000 BC. Over 150,000 genuine artifacts are presented. lies in busy Midan al-Tahrir.

    Khan El Khalili:

    driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, one of the most famous and oldest bazaars in the Middle East.

    Activities:

    • Entrance inside pyramids.

    Evening transfer to station for a Sleeper Train, from Cairo to Luxor.

    Dinner and Overnight on board the train.

  • Day Four: Train (B) /Luxor / Nile Cruise (L, D)

    After a sumptuous breakfast on board, the train rolls into Luxor. It's a vibrant place with an excellent bazaar situated close to some of ancient Egypt's most important and extraordinary sights.

    You will be transferred to your Nile cruise boat, which will be your home for the next four nights. You can relax on the boat or explore the town.

    Later, visit:

    The Karnak Temples: 

    No site in Egypt is more impressive than Karnak Temples, where generations of pharaohs wished to record their names. Walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall, to reach the sacred lake of the temple, The Karnak complex is actually three main temples situated on 247 acres of land considered as the largest religious center ever built.

    Luxor Temple: 

    The temple has been in almost continuous use as a place of worship right up to the present day. During the Christian era, the temple’s hypostyle hall was converted into a Christian church, and the remains of another Coptic church can be seen to the west. Then for thousands of years, the temple was buried beneath the streets and houses of Luxor. Eventually the mosque of Sufi Shaykh Yusuf Abu al-Hajjaj was built over it. This mosque was carefully preserved when the temple was uncovered and forms an integral part of the site today.

    For the rest of the Day you will be free to relax, shop in the bazaar (open until quite late) or perhaps experience the atmosphere of a local tea house.

  • Day Five: West Bank of Luxor.

    Breakfast at your cruise, then you will be accompanied by your Egypt tour guide and a private air-conditioned vehicle to visit Luxor Highlights including:

    The Valley of the Kings: 

    The burial ground of the pharaohs rulers from the 18th to 20th dynasty, For a period of 500 years beginning in the 16th century BC, tombs were built along this valley for pharaohs, including that of the great Pharaoh Ramses II and boy Pharaoh Tutankhamen. Found in 1922 by British archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter.

    The Temple of Hatshepsut: 

    Temple of Hatshepsut, ancient Egypt’s first female pharaoh, She came to power during the New Kingdom after the death of her father, Tuthmose I, and her half-brother and husband, Tuthmose II, who succeeded her father on the thrown.

    The Colossi of Memnon: 

    Enjoy a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, Two massive stone statues of king Amenhotep III are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite stone which exist in Cairo then moved 700 KM to Luxor.

    Enjoy lunch upon your return to the boat. There is time to relax on deck or in your cabin before you set sail for Edfu. Generally the journey from Luxor to Edfu is from 1 pm to 11 pm.

    Departure time may vary, depending on river . You will pass through Esna Lock, which can sometimes be a slow process depending on the number of vessels waiting to get through, and continue your journey upstream.

  • Day Six: Edfu - Kom Ombo

    Morning finds you moored near Edfu, a beautifully preserved temple dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god. You will disembark and explore :

    Edfu temple: 

    Edfu temple is the Temple of Horus, which is considered to be one of the most beautiful and best preserved Temples in Egypt, The work of construction began during the reign of Ptolemy III (about 237 BC) and was finished during the reign of Ptolemy IV.

    Returning to the cruise boat, continue travelling upriver, relaxing on the sundeck and taking in the surrounding sights – desert hills forming a backdrop to lush riverbanks, fishermen casting their nets and farmers working their land.

    After arriving at :

    Kom Ombo Temple: 

    The Temple of Kom Ombo was built during the Greco Roman time during the period from 205 till 180 BC in the reign of Ptolemy V. was constructed on the ruins of a much older temple which was called "Ber Sobek" or the house of the god Sobek. This temple is divided into 2 temples with 2 entrances, 2 hypostyle Halls and 2 sanctuaries. Board your boat again later and continue to Aswan.

  • Day Seven: Abu Simbel

    Temples of Abu Simple: 

    The Temples of Abu Simbel are amongst the most interesting of all anicent Egyptian temples. Located close to the southern border with the Sudan, it is 280 km south of Aswan and consists of two rock-cut Temples which both date back to the reign of King Ramses II (1290-1223 BC). One temple is dedicated to King Ramses II himself, and the other temple is dedicated to his beloved wife Queen Nefertari. The carvings and artwork that decorate both temples are incredible. Hand carved pillars, wall paintings, carvings, statues, and much more, this is a must visit temple.

  • Day Eight: Aswan

    After disembarking from your Nile cruise after breakfast, transfer for a short sightseeing tour of Aswan. Later, visit:

    The High Dam: 

    The High Dam of Aswan is one of the most important achievements of the last century in Egypt, even for many years it was a symbol of the New Era of the Revolution of 1952. It provided Egypt with water and electricity and secured the country of the risk of the destructive inundation.

    The Unfinished Obelisk: 

    The unfinished obelisk of Aswan is known to be one of the largest among them. It was constructed by Hatshepsut, the queen of Thutmose II, who also ruled Egypt as a Pharaoh from 1478 to 1458 B.C., jointly with Thutmose III,
